My Wednesday off was stolen from me when the Foreign Affairs Department kidnapped four of us foreigners to go back to the craptacular hospital in Zhongzhou to get another battery of tests done because, because, because… Chris and I are staying in China for another year.
Yes, I must be a crazy person.
With all the complaining and ranting I’ve been doing about the Doodles and their ways, it is a wonder. But I do enjoy teaching (most of the time). And I have much more time to travel, read, write. Besides, I gather that my chances of finding a descent job in the U.S. are rather slim so Chris and I will stay in Anyang for another year. It’s official now. I signed the contract!
I still haven’t been to Beijing or Shanghai yet so if you want to see my pretty face, we can meet there!
sad that you will be gone another year – but yeah, jobs are pretty scarce over here.
I am still in a daze…. and will have to consider one of the two more westernized options…can’t handle the hocking/spitting or pooping in streets…(*shudder*)….
