Today Chris and I successfully made dumplings by ourselves! It was an uber-long enterprise. Taking from when we went out to by flour and fresh veggies at 5 until after 9 when we finally sat down to eat them all- and watch “Battlestar Galactica” (Chris has been skipping and clapping around the apartment all day in excitement).
Exhausting work, these dumplings. Think potsticker or Doodlified ravioli. Chris made a fantastic dough and we both chopped and chopped and chopped mushroom, tofu, spring onion, scrambled a few eggs, tossed salt, sesame oil and mysterious Doodle spices, and voila! Now the really time-consuming process of rolling the dough into palm-sized circles (ours were more amoeba-like) and then adding a spoonful at a time to the dough. Boil each for several minutes and it’s time to eat! Yum, yum!

I love them so!
