Greetings from the Lone Star State!  It is weird down here. I haven’t seen anyone else with a tattoo of their state but I’ve already seen several prominently displayed doodles of Texas on very beefy biceps!  Anthony, how did you turn out so normal?

Anyway, this whole trip to Texas means Chris and I are that much closer to leaving for China (four more days)!  We managed to outrun the dred Hurricane Ike and got our visas and got the hell out of Houston just before the evacuation got super nutty.  Leaving the consulate on Thursday, giddy from the sudden release of stress because we finally had our visas, we both marvelled- this, this little piece of paper stuck in our passports is what all the fuss is about?  The waiting and the frustration and the panic and the running around and all we have is a colorful piece of paper with a picture of the Great Wall in the corner?

Aaaargh!

But I don’t care because I’m going to China!
